How often have you had a certain pain in your head that you could not bear? If so did you ever consider the thought that it might have been a migraine headache? Yes! Certainly in order to answer this question you first have to know what a migraine is. The basic definition of a migraine is that “it is a form of headache that has certain symptoms which include; light sensitivity, nausea and vomiting. The symptoms of a migraine are different from those of a normal headache; they tend to be much severe. When one has a migraine headache, he or she will fill pain at one side of the head. The pain may be very disturbing and you will certainly not go for several hours without taking relief tablets or painkillers.

A migraine may not appear suddenly, but may first cause early symptoms termed aura. Aura is a collection of symptoms that one may feel before an incidence of a migraine headache. These symptoms usually include; high light sensitivity or awareness and poor vision. Experts and some experienced former migraine sufferers will be able to tell that they are about to experience a migraine using these early symptoms. This makes them much more alert as they are able to take necessary measures before the onset of the headache. Some people may not experience these warning symptoms at all. Not all the migrants come with the primary or alarming symptoms. About only up to a third of the people who suffer from migraines experience the early alarming symptoms (Aura).

Migraines are nervous conditions that are mostly coupled with disturbances of the body main senses. This condition occurs mostly in women especially during their periods of pregnancy. A migraine may last up to 72 hours, showing all the symptoms like, nausea, high light sensitivity (photophobia) and vomiting. The sufferers become very sensitive to noise and they will experience a discomforting feeling when loud noises are head.

There are many types of migraines known by doctors, these include; silent migraines, Magnesium migraines, Visual migraines, Optical migraines and stomach migraines. All these migraines have been named according to the occurrence of their symptoms. Let me list the general symptoms of a migraine so that you may be ale to indentify the occurrence of a migraine. These symptoms in general include; light sensitivity, headache, Anxiety disorders, menstrual cramps and nausea. By now you are able to differentiate the between a normal headache and a migraine.
